I have been spending most of my time on research projects, and have not been producing much new art (shameful!). But here is some older stuff.

Painting

Conversation
(1998, 27x30in)
Acrylic on canvass

Trapped
(1991, 46x31in)
Acrylic on canvass

This was my first painting, done in high school. I was fascinated with surrealism at the time.

Past the primary forrest on a motorcycle
(2000, 22x15in)
Acrylic on canvass

I was learning how to use a knife rather than a brush; Christa liked the result so much that it now hangs on the wall.

Drawing

Stoic
(1990, x in)
Pen on paper

Woodwork

Mahogany end table
(2000, 15x15x24in)

I have always liked Brancusi's sculpture. This table is inspired by his work. The grain of the wood is magnificent, but it doesn't show up well in the picture.

Photography

There is a whole section for pictures , but a select few of them qualify (I think) as art:

Rocks
(2004, Joshua Tree NP)
Digital photograph

Glass

Snowflake
(2003. 11x11 in)
Etched glass pannel, walnut block

Etched glass pannel for winter decorations.

Ugly buddies

Ugly Buddies
(2004)
Socks, buttons, stuffing

Christa and I made these out of socks for our friend's baby.

Snow Monster

Snow Monster
(2003)
Snow

Although not really a work of art, there is a good story associated with it: A couple of days after I first made the Snow Monster, someone knocked the head off. I replaced the head - and patched it with a generous amount of water, which quickly froze to an icy weld. The following day, christa heard a yell and laughter from outside. Looking outside she saw a car containing a high school aged kid laughing at his cohort who was standing in our yard next to the snow monster holding his hand in pain. Apparently the Snow Monster had his retrobution, for it stood standing as they drove off.
